India are currently taking on Australia in the 4th and final Test of the coveted Border-Gavaskar Trophy. This is an extremely important game for India as they have one eye on qualifying for the final of the
World Test Championships to be held in the first week of June at the Oval. As India put up a good batting performance in the final Test,
A study found that taking a hot bath about 90 minutes before bed could help people fall asleep more quickly.
one of the top performers with the bat has been Shubman Gill. He has scored his second Test 100, finishing with a score of 128.
He came in from the 3rd Test onwards in place of KL Rahul, who had endured a horrific run of form in the longest format.
However, the big question if India qualify for the WTC final is who will open the batting- the experience KL Rahul or the in-form Shubman.
RCB and India wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik has picked his choice. Karthik has said that keeping Gill's purple patch in mind, he will definitely go for the young right-hander from Punjab.
"I will definitely go with Shubman Gill, there's no doubt about it. The man's got a hundred in the last Test before the WTC final.
You get the feeling that Shubman Gill is in for the long run. He is a long racehorse. He's the one that you want to put your money on and say,
'I want to see him in 2033 still there opening for India'," Karthik said an interaction with Cricbuzz.
Dinesh Karthik also agrees to the fact, the should KL Rahul agree, he can also be used as a good back-up option behind the stumps.
"I will see how Rahul feels because KL is not somebody who enjoys keeping in Test cricket because it is a completely different ball game.
But I will definitely keep that in the back of my mind. It is an option that is very, very usable if KL is up for wicketkeeping," Karthik added.
India can seal a place for the WTC final, even before the end of day's play, if New Zealand manage to draw or beat Sri Lanka in the 1st Test
